Vendor & Contracts Manager

The Vendor & Contracts Manager will own the relationship & service contracts with customers and strategic service partners of Origina. They will be responsible for driving value, innovation and high performance, ensuring that contractual arrangements and activities are in line with overall sourcing policies. The role requires strong influencing, negotiation and relationship management skills with an ability to focus on multi-supplier integration, partnership efficacy, and strategic outcomes. Excellent communication and teaming skills combined with the ability to effectively lead and drive initiatives in a fast-paced environment are key aspects of the role.

Relationship Management

  • Deliver effective and constructive relationship management based on a partnering approach with assigned vendor(s)
  • Analyse problem areas and help resolve disputes acting as an escalation point for significant issues which might arise with IT partners
  • Drive value from strategic relationships focussing on innovation, high performance, value add business outcomes and the overall efficacy of the partnership
  • Work with the Head of Service Operations and other key stakeholders to add strategic and tactical value to the overall Origina life-cycle from sourcing through to managing services from third parties
Performance and Governance Management
  • Define and deliver effective metrics regarding supplier performance in relation to contracted services and develop vendor scorecards and dashboards
  • Manage vendor performance against deliverables across the relevant managed service provision
  • Act as the accountable point of escalation for all significant vendor issues
  • Manage contractor and vendor vetting standards, processes and procedures
Contract Management
  • Manage and monitor all assigned contractual obligations and governance processes to meet required standards
  • Work with the IT organisation to help translate functional requests into contract specifications/changes to ensure product requirements are fulfilled and tailored to the business
  • Respond to contract queries and guidance requests as they arise from internal and external customers.
  • Manage contract budgets and provide regular KPI reporting on performance goals.
  • Manage contract pro-formas
Risk & Compliance Management
  • Ensure vendor risk factors are being identified, appropriately documented and communicated to the Risk & Compliance team.
  • Work with the Risk & Compliance team in monitoring vendor compliance with internal and regulatory requirements and ensure that appropriate controls and processes are in place to deliver compliance

Applicant Must Have:

Essential Qualifications
  • 3rd level degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of IT out-sourcing contracts and experience in managing external supplier contracts & relationships
  • An ability to understand and interpret IT managed service contracts, and assess the overall impact of technical, commercial and service changes as they arise;
  • Professionalism, planning, organising, problem solving, able to deal with several tasks simultaneously
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the global IT vendor landscape, services offered, and pricing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage well under pressure
  • Strong inter-personal skills, with the ability and confidence to develop and build good relationships with internal stakeholders and key external suppliers.
  • Possess a clear understanding of profitability and the management of P&L, OpEx and strategic targets.
