What You’ll Be Doing…

As IBM License Intelligence Manager, you will manage a team of License Experts to ensure that all license assistance requests are serviced efficiently and in a timely manner in order to aid the prompt closure of business opportunities. You will play a crucial role in the business development process and will work closely with the global sales team in managing work orders and scheduling priorities. You will help clients understand their licensing obligations and work with them in identifying remediation strategies to avoid non-conformity. You will identify market knowledge raised from our licensing activities with our customer base and provide the sales team with timely actionable intelligence.

How You Do It...

·       Collaborate with the sales team to understand the requirements for each customer opportunity to ensure that licensing support is both effective and timely.

·       Strategically build our licensing knowledge to enable an efficient sales process whilst maintaining the quality and integrity of all product & licensing related information.

·       Build networks and relationships with customers, formalising the relationships to improve market knowledge.

·       Refine the license service catalogue and educate customers and internal teams as to the support available and how to request assistance.

·       Track sales opportunities to determine priority and provide regular reports on progress.

·       Define and maintain quality standards for all intelligence data and customer provided reports via implementation of KPI’s.

·       Provide leadership and mentoring in maintaining a high-performance team.

·       Develop market insights, competitive intelligence and IBM product demographics as key enablers for the business.

Experience

·       Previous in-depth knowledge of IBM Passport Advantage products and/or IBM Passport Advantage Licensing is a distinct advantage as is a Software Asset Management/Licensing background.

·       Educated to Master’s degree level or equivalent experience or qualification

·       At least 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role.

·       Excellent leadership skills

·       ITIL/Six Sigma training/certification.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with any queries they have with regard to their IBM licensing (agreements, migrations, novation’s, product bundling, supporting program entitlements etc).
  • For each prospective customer you will perform an in-depth review of their license portfolio to quickly validate they are a suitable candidate for Origina TPM support.
  • As part of our customer onboarding process you will perform a detailed analysis of customers IBM Passport Advantage sales history in order to compile a detailed reporting outlining their exact IBM software product entitlements.
  • Research and capture IBM product evolution changes in order to present an accurate view of the product lifecycle.
  • Provide advice and guidance around the characteristics and restrictions of licensing a particular product or suite of products.
  • Maintain the quality and integrity of all important licensing related information pertaining to customers and software products within our intelligence platform.
  • Recommend and execute improvements to our processes.
