Chief Marketing Officer

We are looking for an experienced ground-breaking leader with strategic, creative and financial acumen to drive Origina’s marketing strategy and vision. This role reports directly to Tomás O’Leary, the company Founder and CEO. Managing a team of 5-6 based in Dublin, Ireland you will be responsible for defining and solidifying Origina’s reputation as the responsible disrupter of the software industry. You will oversee all marketing activities of the company and will be tasked with creating innovative marketing strategies that will build our brand, grow our customer base, and increase our relevance to a range of target audiences. The CMO is a key member of the executive team, working across the organization to tell our story, extend our brand and position in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the teams that are responsible for: Demand Generation across all channels, Digital Marketing, Events, Influencer & Partner Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Positioning, Branding and PR, and Corporate Communications.
  • Demand Generation, Digital Marketing, Events & Influencer Marketing
  • Own and continually enhance our demand generation activities, such asour SiriusDecisions assisted campaign style model to ensure maximum efficiency of all marketing activities
  • Ensure our demand generation strategy continually meets our lead generation and revenue goals – including New Logo wins, Renewal retention and New Schedule wins (upsell).
  • Develop an account-based marketing model to optimize the market opportunity in the identified 20,000 targets.
  • Lead an integrated and creative content strategy across all channels that achieves thought leadership and demand generation goals.
  • Develop an enhanced Influencer marketing strategy that ensures our position as an attractive thought leader and relevant player in the market.
  • Provide strategic marketing assistance, guidance and support to our Chief Commercial Officer to help develop a supportive Channel strategy.
  • Positioning, Branding & PR
  • Develop and live the story of Origina’s brand. Act as an evangelist, including: all aspects of external communication, branding, Analyst Relations, PR & promotional strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with key influencers and internal stakeholders in the business to ensure all events, branding and marketing opportunities are maximized to their full potential.
  • Become an expert in our offering, promoting our services both internally and externally.
  • Service & Solution Marketing
  • Develop business-oriented messaging, value propositions and use cases (ROI) to increase competitive differentiation and enable the sales team.
  • Develop, manage and implement integrated-marketing strategies across multiple industries, geographies, partners, and buying personas.
  • Working closely with our CTO and co-Founder, develop programs for newly identified services and/or service enhancements: messaging, use cases, sales kits, campaigns, etc.
  • Develop and track rigorous and actionable metrics and success criteria for all marketing programs; Showcase the use of data & analytics to drive more effective marketing strategies and programs
  • Recruit, manage and develop a high performing marketing team

What we are looking for?

Experience:

  • 15+ years of marketing experience, minimum 5+ years in a senior level management position.
  • Proven experience as chief marketing officer or rising marketing star
  • Have demonstrated experience executing strategic and campaign level marketing processes, product launches and leading large teams through complex marketing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in largescale demand generation and customer acquisition through multiple channels (especially digital).
  • Deep understanding of Service business metrics and their business drivers.
  • Understanding of market research and has strong analytical capabilities; demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics to drive business performance.
  • Been responsible for the creative direction of the brand and overall messaging for the company.
  • Experienced in global program / product launch and demand generation.
  • Skilled at nurturing and growing communities of users, influencers and partners.
  • Domain expertise in Origina’s core areas: Enterprise software, IBM licensing/contracts and/or cost optimisation
  • Strong personality, management skills and passion to work within a fast-paced growing environment.
  • A leader who can lead, develop & inspire teams.
  • BS or BA degree. MBA strongly preferred.
