Enterprise Technical Support Specialist

What we are looking for:

Origina is looking to appoint a focused, passionate and driven Enterprise Technical Support Specialist to join our Service Delivery team and make IT the Hero for our Clients.


The successful candidate will be primarily based in our Dublin office but will be required to provide onsite support to our Dublin based Clients. They will have the responsibility for assisting and ensuring all client issues are resolved in a timely manner and ensuring associated SLAs are met.

Our Ideal Candidate: 

Our ideal candidate for this role should be a self-motivator. He/she should be a people person and team player with a track record of delivering Enterprise Support and advisory services to our client base. Our preference will be for candidates who have consistently over-performed, who have demonstrated unique skills in previous roles, and who have a successful background in a helpdesk support role.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate the attention to detail that is required to be able to deliver at this level, manage a broad number of support queries at any one time, and to be able to back this up with relevant experience.

Role Overview

Type: 12 Month fixed term contract
Experience: Junior-Mid level
Functions: IT Support/Service Desk  Salary: 25000-27000 per annum + paid holidays.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities


•    Provide world-class trouble shooting and technical support for: key enterprise business applications and operating systems such as Windows Server, XP, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, MS Office, Blackberry. An understanding of TSM, Sharepoint, Platespin, CommVault, Unix, Linux, VMware products, Hyper-V and enterprise storage environments would be advantageous but not essential. •    Ensure customer satisfaction when handling an incident – actively supporting the customer and keeping them up to date though-out an incident lifecycle.
•    Ensure that all service level agreements between Origina and their customers are adhered to when managing multiple incidents.
•    Contribute to the growth of the support division. New ideas and forward thinking are always encouraged.
•    Actively learn and develop individual technical skills and abilities with the support of the senior technical team. •    Self motivation and ambition, with an ability to motivate others
•    Possess excellent problem solving and customer management skills
•    Right to live and work in the Ireland/ Europe
•    Excellent written and spoken English skills and the ability to articulate complex scenarios orally, in writing and visually to clients.

Skills & Experience Required

The following is a list of skills & experiences that would be important in our considerations for this role: -    Be technically proficient in a number of technology areas including:
Windows Server
Microsoft Office
Microsoft XP
Microsoft Exchange
Blackberry Active Directory
IP Network architecture
-    A good understanding of technology products such as VMware, Hyper-V, Sharepoint, Unix, Linux, TSM, Commvault & Storage subsystems would be advantageous but is not essential.  -    Working in close partnership with technical teams and business stakeholders
-    Excellent time management and verbal and written communication skills
